NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CITY OF QUINCY, ILLINOIS Sealed bids for the North 30th Street – Maine to Chestnut (MR 689) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Suite 129, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chambers. The City of Quincy’s MR 689 Project consists of resurfacing North 30th Street beginning at Maine Street and ending at Chestnut Street with an omission at Broadway (IL 104). Replacement of PCC sidewalks, driveways, and combination curb and gutter. Replacement of the existing water main from south of Hampshire to Broadway. Replacement of lead water services along North 30th north of Broadway. Other related improvements. Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
