The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-12-G-0005 to BAE Systems Controls, Inc. (BAE), 1098 Clark Street, Endicott, NY 13760-5553, on a sole-source basis. This effort will provide Non-Recurring Engineering to implement turret slotted holes for the IDWS and perform the retrofit in accordance with the Engineering Change Proposal. BAE is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the IDWS, and at this time BAE’s IDWS is the only IDWS that has been integrated into and flight qualified on the MV-22. BAE is the only source that possesses the engineering, technical data and requisite knowledge of the IDWS design, fabrication, performance operation, maintenance and support characteristics to fulfill this requirement.
