The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-07-G-0008 to the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, 401 Tiltrotor Drive, Amarillo, TX 79111 on a sole-source basis for non-recurring engineering to demonstrate, integrate, and qualify the Interim Defensive Weapon System (IDWS) mission kit on the MV-22 tiltrotor aircraft as well as provide associated logistics support. The non-recurring engineering includes, but is not limited to, design reviews, functional fit and ground tests, flight test planning, data analysis and associated program management activities. This effort also includes initial logistics support of the IDWS mission kit for deployed MV-22 aircraft to include maintenance and operations planning and training, troubleshooting analysis, spares and repairs management, and reliability performance monitoring and trend analysis. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tilt-Rotor Aircraft and is the only source that possesses the technical data and requisite knowledge of properly integrating aircraft components with tiltrotor technology and has the necessary infrastructure in place to properly support the IDWS mission kit on the MV-22 aircraft in the time required to meet operational and combat needs. For possible subcontracting opportunities, please contact Mike Snell at [email protected] or (806) 341-3803. See note 22.
