Agricultural Research Services (ARS) is conducting market research to support the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research requirement for a 600 MHz NMR Spectrometer. The ARS is seeking business sources, including small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, 8(a) certified companies, and other than small businesses. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. The following information is provided to assist the ARS in conducting Market Research to identify potential contractors for this effort:
The government is seeking capability statements from businesses capable of meeting the below performance requirements:
1) 14.1 T shielded superconducting magnet, cryostat and cryoshims
2) Helium hold time >= 150 days
3) Nitrogen hold time >= 15 days
4) Vibration dampening system
5) Digital spectrometer capable of 2 channel liquid state acquisition
6) {1H, 19F} and {31P to 15N}
7) Room temperature shims and lock system
8) Power amplifiers of at least 100W/300W for 1H/X
9) 10 amp gradient amplifier
10) Gradient shimming
11) Cryogen level sensors
12) Variable temperature accessary capable of at least -100C to +100C
13) Variable temperature dewar and hardware
14) Autotune capable for appropriate probe and hardware
15) Auto sample changer for 24 samples
16) 600 MHz 5mm broad band Z-gradient liquids probe
17) Probe should tune from 1H to 19F on high side and 31P to 15N on the X side
18) To include a 2H lock channel
19) Autotune and match accessory for the probe
20) Variable temperature capability, at least -100C to +100C
21) 1H sensitivity >=960:1 0.1% ethyl benzene in thin walled tube

Firms believing they can meet the requirements are encouraged to respond electronically with no less than the following information:
