Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for Bruker Biospin Corp. The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZRA), Edwards AFB CA, intends to award a sole-source contract to Bruker Biospin Corp., 15 Fortune Drive, Billerica, MA 01821, to procure a service contract for on-site NMR instrument Avance III DFAS (serials #102000693, #102000694, #102000695). The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is FAR 13.106-(b) (1). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole-source action. The applicable NAICS code is 334516. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Quote, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Proposal nor is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No costs will be paid for any charges incurred in responding to this notice. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 1700 hours on April 14, 2017 (PST), a Sole Source FFP contract will be pursued with Bruker Biospin Corp.
