Under the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the Department of Justice (DOJ), United States National Central Bureau, INTERPOL, intends to issue a firm-fixed priced purchase order for a one year membership in the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS). This requirement will be processed using procedures in FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with procedures under FAR Part 13. This is not an Request for Quotation or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It represents notification of DOJ's intent to acquire this membership from NLETS. There will be no solicitation issued, therefore, requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be acknowledged. A determination by DOJ to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of DOJ. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain enough documentation to establish any interested parties capability to fulfill this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received within 3 business days of the publication of this announcement, a purchase order will be issued to NLETS without any additional notices being posted.
