Eckert & Ziegler is the only company that can provide the specific types of NIST traceable radioactive materials required for testing against ANSI and IEC standards. NIST has entered into an interagency agreement with the Department of Homeland Security as a part of a Test and Evaluation Campaign of certain instruments. Other agencies are also involved in this campaign.
These sources/radioactive materials are being used for a current testing program. NIST has previously purchased several similar sources from Eckert & Ziegler as part of this ongoing test program and for traceability and reproducibility reasons. The sources must be from the same manufacturer.
Eckert & Ziegler is the only company that can provide the required radioactive materials in accordance with the ANSI and IEC standards in the time required.
Delivery is required within 4-6 weeks after receipt of order.

No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by June 25, 2013.
A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
