This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National American Industry Classification Code is 333314 - - Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing with a Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is issued as a total small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for a one time, firm-fixed price purchase of the following specific make and model item: fifty-two (52) night vision eyepiece assemblies, without the intensifier tube, that will accept and operate night vision intensifier tubes such as the ITT type MX-10130C or its equivalent. Must be compatible with and fit into the Fraser-Volpe Corp. day/night gyro-stabilized binoculars, model "OBSERVER" such that the power for the intensifier tube is derived from the gyro stabilized binocular. Eyepiece assembly part number is 01064-530-13. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity.
