This service project consists of approximately 20 miles of road obliteration by recontouring and decompacting on the Red River Ranger District. Work includes decompaction and restoring natural slopes and stream channels on roads, skid trails, excavated skid roads and log landings. Work also includes seeding and applying straw mulch or available slash on disturbed soil.
Project location from Grangeville, ID: the project area is located approximately 47 miles east on State Hwy 14, then approximately 5 miles south on Forest Road 1803 (Relief Creek) to the junction of Forest Road 9803 (Wheeler Mountain). The project can also be accessed of Road 522 (Deadwood) which starts approximately 2.5 miles from Highway 14 on Forest Road 1803.
Solicitation for this project was issued June 23, 2011 with responses due by July 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. Package includes a SF-1449 Form, solicitation body with attachments, and drawings. No bonding is required. Performance of the work will commence in early August. This acquisition has been set-aside for HUBZone Concerns. Respondents must be certified HUBZones Concerns with the Small Business Administration in order to be eligible for consideration.
