This project entails constructing/reconstructing approximately 4 miles of 4-wire, barbed wire fence with metal T-posts and construction of .75 miles of 2 strand electoplastic (polytape) fence. The contractor will provide and transport the new materials required for the barbed wire fence construction. The Government shall supply the materials for the electroplasic (polytape) fence. Work is divided into 4 Pay Items and multiple contract awards will be considered. The fence lines are located along the boundary between the Nez Perce National Forest and the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area west of Riggins, Idaho between Kirkwood Corrals and Crater Lake. The entire project is located in Idaho County. The period of performance will begin around September 5, 2009 and extend through October 31, 2009. Price estimate for the total project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The acquisition has been set-aside 100% for HUBZone Small Business Concerns. A pre-bid tour is planned for August 20, 2009 so long as adequate participation is received. Solicitation was amended on 8/26/09 to add Item 5 to the solicitation (fence material removal for Item 2) and amend the Item Descriptions and Specifications in Section C. Response date was extended to 9/2/09 at 4:00 PM local time. Quoters must return a copy of the signed amendment with their quote.
