This project is located within the Clear Creek watershed on the Moose Creek Ranger District of the Nez Perce National Forest. The project consists of collecting intensive stand exam data across approximately 12,000 acres within stands ranging in ages from approximately 50 years old to 150 years old. Some stands have foot travel distances from roads in excess of 1 mile. Approximately 2,200 to 2,300 plots are to be collected. The project will be separated into several items and multiple contract awards may be made. The estimated contract start date is October 1, 2010 with all work being completed by September 30, 2011. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and any other incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contract.
Complete solicitation was posted 9/1/10. The complete project was broken into 7 items. Please note that the project areas for Items 1 and 6 are located in designated Roadless Areas making access to these stands more difficult.
