Blanco Road Reconstruction consists of road reconditioning, roadway brushing, clearing and grubbing, culvert replacement and installation, aggregate placement, and associated work on approximately 24 miles of Forest roads.  Project is located on the Red River Ranger District, Nez Perce National Forest in the vicinity of the Red River Administrative Site.  Aggregate for the project is scheduled to come from an existing stockpile located at Dixie Summit.  Work is anticipated to begin fall 2010 with completion by July 2011.  Estimated price range for the base project and the optional item combined is $250,000-$500,000.  Bid bonds are required and faxed proposals will not be accepted.

This acquisition has been set-aside for HUBZone Concerns.  Offerors must be certified HUBZone Concerns with the U.S. Small Business Administration to be eligible for consideration.  For information regarding the on-line application process, go to the following website at https://eweb1.sba.gov/hubzone/internet/.  This process can take 120 days or more to complete.

The solicitation was modified on 8/31/10 to correct a mistake on Sheet 7 of the Plans.  The Forest Service requires Type IV Erosion Control Fabric for the shoulder repair work.  The original plans specified Type IV Geogrid Fabric by mistake.  Offerors need to acknowledge this amendment.  The response deadline remains unchanged.
