This project consists of approximately 8.30 miles of road reconditioning and 4,375 tons of aggregate supply (commercial source) and placement on FS Road 443.  It also consists of hauling 36 government supplied open top culverts from Grangeville, ID and installing them as per specifications and drawings.  An additional 1,500 of aggregate supply (commercial source) and placement will be included as an Optional Item.  Award of some or all of the optional item is dependent upon available funding.

To reach the project area from Grangeville, ID, travel approximately 26 miles northeast of State Hwy 13 to the town of Kooskia, ID, then 25 miles east on US Highway 12 and approximately 18.5 miles on the Selway River Road (FS 223).  The project starts at the Selway River Bridge and continues approximately 8.30 miles on the American River/Selway Road (FS 443).

Estimated price range for the project is $100,000-250,000.  Performance period begins approximately September 17, 2010 with a completion deadline for the entire project of August 30, 2011.

Bid Bonds are required with offers.  Faxed proposals will not be accepted.  Offerors must be certified HUBzone small businesses to be eligible for consideration. 

Solicitation was amended on 8/18/10 to clarify the specifications regarding aggregate placement next to existing open tops and disposal of open tops slated for removal.  Information regarding aggregate stockpiling was also added to the specifications.  The amendment must be acknowledged in offers submitted.  Response deadline was not extended.
