To access the treatment units from Grangeville, follow Main St. to the East and turn right on Mt. Idaho Grade Road at the end of town. Follow Mt. Idaho Grade down to ID-14 about 10 miles. Continue east on ID-14 for approximately 35 miles. Turn right on Crooked River Road (FS-233) and head south. The units 101, 102, 102A, 102B, 102C, 103, 104, 105, and 106 will be located on the uphill (East) side of the road. Units 107,108, and 108A are located on the uphill (East) side of the road as you enter in to the narrows section. Units 118 and 121 are located south of the intersection of the Deadwood Cutoff (522) and 233 roads. Unit 149 is located directly west of and upslope from community of Orogrande. Vicinity and project maps, and other site-specific information will be furnished with the solicitation.
Thinning units consist of approximately 180 acres that will be treated using two hand thinning prescriptions. Hand Thin and Pile will be completed on 90 acres of trees less than 6 inches. Slash will be piled on site and covered with paper. Lop and Scatter will be completed on 90 acres of trees less than 8 inches. A full description of the vegetation size/type and the thinning prescriptions will be provided in the solicitation. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals required to accomplish the work as specified. The tentative completion deadline for this project is September 30, 2017.
It is estimated that the complete solicitation package will be available in early March and should be downloaded from this website at that time. A formal pre-bid tour is planned; please see the solicitation for date, time and meeting location. Due to variation in tree density and treatment types planned, contractors are urged to attend. This procurement is being set-aside 100% for small business.

Organized site visit was held 4/11/2017. Site visit notes have been provided. Amendment 1 has been issued to address clarifications and project changes that were identified during the site visit. Quoters shall acknowledge the amendment. Deadline for receipt of quotations has not been extended.
