The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide the construction of a new steel sheet pile weir structure to elevation 58.0’ NAVD 88 25’ this is approximately two feet higher than the existing temporary weir built in 2015 in the city of Goldsboro, North Carolina. 

The location of the new weir will be approximately 25’ downstream of the City’s temporary weir. As part of construction, the original Corps’ weir will be cut off below grade. The City of Goldsboro’s temporary weir will be removed during construction at the City of Goldsboro’s expense. The flood risk management benefits of the federally authorized project are not impacted.

This solicitation is un-restricted.

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.

The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. 

This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about July 16, 2020. 

The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided.   Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. 

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $39,500,000.00.
