This is a public announcement for a proposed contract action.  THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). 

The National Hurricane Center in Miami, FL has a requirement to purchase a network appliance shelf for their NetApp FAS 3020 Network-Attached Storage (NAS).  The NetApp FAS 3020 is a proprietary piece of equipment.  Since the network appliance shelf is for the existing system a NetApp product must be used for compatibility reasons.

To be considered interested parties must be able to demonstrate their ability to provide a network appliance shelf compatible with the NetApp FAS 3020 NAS system. Firms must furnish detailed specifications and descriptions to demonstrate their capability to provide a network appliance shelf that will satisfy the Government's existing needs. Capability information shall include, at a minimum, name, telephone number and address of concerns for which you have previously furnished this supply, and a detailed narrative that describes your ability to provide this supply as specified and descriptive literature.

This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on the receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to purchase a NetApp network appliance shelf for a NetApp FAS 3020 NAS system, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
