The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to make a sole source award to NEC Corporation of America, Unified Solutions Group, 1830 Market Place, Suite N, Fulton, MD 20759 for technical support related to cabling and equipment services for certain telecommunications systems deployed at PBGC involving moves, adds, and changes in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). The contractor shall provide technical support, cabling and equipment services for NEC telecommunications systems deployed at PBGC's designated facilities/sites involving moves, adds and changes.

The intent is for PBGC to continue services without any disruption with NEC Corporation of America. The period of performance is October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013.

This is not a Request for Quotation, but a Notice of Intent. An RFQ will not be issued. Interested parties may submit their capability statements for the required services (which shall not exceed three (3) pages in length) to [email protected] no later than 2:00PM EDT, September 10, 2012.

Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
