The Department shall retain an engineering firm to perform NBIS PONTIS Bridge Safety Inspections for an estimated four hundred and ten (410) Bucks County State Owned Bridges greater than 20 foot in length. Two bi-annual bridge inspections will be performed on each bridge over a four year period for a total of eight hundred and twenty (820) field bridge inspection reports. The chosen Consultant will also be called upon to perform Interim inspections on the Bucks County Inventory of Posted Bridges, Poor condition stone arch, and Poor condition Fracture Critical Bridges, on their required inspection intervals. Flood Inspections of Scour Critical Bridges will also be performed on an as needed basis. The selected firm will be familiar with the PONTIS/SNBIBE Element method of inspection, electronic reporting, as well as the Department’s BMS2 Bridge Management System. The selected Consultant will be responsible for overseeing the Sub Consultant(s) work quality.
