DESCRIPTION:  The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for procurement of a new Slewing Arm Davit (SLAD) built in accordance with a Navy specified and standardized design.  The intention of this solicitation is to provide an electro-mechanical SLAD built to the Navy specified design to maximize commonality of davit operation, supportability, maintenance procedures, and logistics with davits on other ship classes. In addition to providing the supply, engineering and technical services will be required for the support on the davits. Work will be required aboard U.S. Navy vessels, at Naval or private shipyards and military installations within the continental United States or overseas, or at the contractor's facilities.
