The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), has awarded a Limited Source GSA Delivery Order to Haworth, Inc. to acquire office furniture. The supplies are exact match to the furniture that NASS currently has and the company can provide local services that are a match to the current furniture. This supply is unique because there is Government requirement to have furnishings match existing furnishing which will allow replacement parts to be available from one supplier, maintain continuity, and allow parts to be interchangeable. Compatibility of the furniture with their current furnishings is a primary goal with this procurement. Once NASS purchases new office furniture the barrier of competition will be removed.

The Statue Authority for this is In accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B) (B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Vendors that believe they can provide the services listed above are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Responses are due by September 29, 2014 10AM MST.
