The contractor is to provide materials and labor to provide and install an air conditioning unit for a tenant agency located in the Neal Smith Federal Building, 210 Walnut Street, Des Moines, Iowa.  The work will include space modification for the construction of an employee break room within USDA/NASS space.  The space shall include modification to approximately 600 SF including new floor and wall finishes, storage cabinets and counter with sink and disposal.  Work shall include the necessary mechanical, electrical and plumbing modifications along with the general construction.  Electrical work shall include light switching modifications and additional power outlets.  Mechanical modifications shall include the necessary demolition, new wall construction, patching and repair.

The contractor is to provide all materials not previously mentioned, labor, equipment, tools, management and supervision as required and needed for the completion of this project.  The contractor will have 60 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to complete the project.  Estimated cost is $0-$100,000.  The contractor will be required to obtain a GSA security clearance for all individuals working on site.  If you are interested in bidding this project respond by email NO LATER THAN April 14, 2010, to [email protected] with your company name, contact person, address, phone number, fax number and DUNS number.  You MUST state the Solicitation number of GS-06P-10-TN-C-0024.  Proposal packages will be mailed to interested parties after that date.  There will be a walk through of the project scheduled.  The date will be noted in your proposal packet.  All proposals submitted must allow 60 days for GSA acceptance.  THIS REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE AN AWARD.  According to FAR 4.11 ALL contractors MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration [CCR], www.ccr.gov  and Online Representations and Certification [ORCA], https://orca.bpn.gov, before having their bid evaluated.
