The Forest Service has a requirement which includes the Roto-Milling maintenance of National Forest Service Roads in the Nantahala Ranger District.  The Roto-Milling will encompass National Forest Service roads in both Clay County, North Carolina and Montgomery County, South Carolina.

Road Reconditioning by roto milling various roads on the North and South Carolina National Forest to include Andrew, Pickens, Uwharrie and Tusquitee Ranger Districts.  Project includes using a loader-mounted rock crusher (Iron Wolf 840 Heavy Series or equal) to complete the specified work.  Road sections will be milled along designated locations identified on National Forest System Roads.  Existing crushed stone will be mixed with imported SC/NCDOT ABC stone aggregate w/water and compacted with a vibratory roller as specified within the contract specifications.  Road reconditioning will also include ditching along these sections prior to grinding operations.

The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00

This procurement is set aside 100% for small business.

Payment and performance bonds will be required on this project.
