The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is ATI Industrial Automation. The purchase is for a Nano 17 and Nano 25 transducer with 6 degrees of freedom and DAQ interface power supply (please see attached justification). ATI's transducers are the only ones that'll meet the noise floor and dimension requirements. The purchase of these specific transducers will ensure consistent device mounting hardware and continuity of data and test results. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
