The Navy has entered into a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc., Chester Township, PA. The scope of this effort is to apply Alloy Surfaces’ patented Special Material payload to military hardware and systems to develop effective military use items, specifically in the expendable countermesures area. Upon issuance of job orders against the BOA, the Contractor will be required to analyze and develop the special material to meet new performance criteria and/or modify current formulations to new developmental hardware systems. The contractor shall also develop or modify associated system components to allow the use of the special material payload. The Contractor shall provide expertise in the special material area in the form of safety and environmental studies. The period for the BOA is expected to be three years with two one-year options from the aw ard date, which was 26 September 2002. Periodic review and synopsis of the BOA will be performed at this activity. Individual job orders will specify required tasks and all applicable delivery terms and conditions. Notes 22 and 26 apply.
