This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) No. N7905404. These solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 4212 and the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code is 484220. The FDA intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to McMurray Stern to disassemble, prepare and reinstall 5 Lektrievers at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Pacific Regional Office for the move from 19900 MacArthur Boulevard to 19701 Fairchild in Irvine, California. The moving of the contents is also included as the unloading and reloading must be done in a precise order or the machines break from overloading one side of the carousel mechanism. The following FAR Clauses shall apply to this solicitation: 52.212 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.214-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.232-33 Electronic Funds Transfers. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit written quotations by the due date referenced above. The award is being issued on a sole source basis because McMurrayStern is the factory authorized installation, repair and maintenance vendor for this area by the Lektriever manufacturer. The equipment is proprietary and must have a factory trained technician to disassemble, prepare, move and reinstall the equipment. All questions should be submitted in writing via e-mail to [email protected] or fax to 301-827-7101. FAR provisions can be found at the following website: http://www/arnet.gov.
