The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for the following services: 1) An engineering analysis of HVAC requirement. 2) Designing, furnishing, and installing a HVAC system. 3) Making other environmental conditioning improvements. 4) Removing the existing HVAC system, relocating lights, junction boxes, smoke sensors, video monitors, etc. as required to implement the new HVAC system. This work will be performed in the WSR-88D radar data acquisition (RDA) shelter at KCRI, 1200 Westheimer, Norman, Oklahoma. Completion date shall be July 12, 2002. Evaluation Criteria as follows: 1) System Performance - Must show by analysis that the design will provide 100% redundancy within the power constraints and meet the requirement of Table 1 (as shown in the formal package). 2) Engineering Analysis - Must show a thorough understanding of RDA Shelter heat loads and HVAC requirements. 3) Installation - Design and installation schedule must minimize interference with operation and maintenance of radar. 4) Past Performance - Vendors must have performed similar work, and customers must indicate satisfaction with vendor performance. 5) Cost - Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor. (Best Value for the Government). Vendors may request a formal package by fax (preferred) or mail.
