Synopsis: The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) P14PS00745 to obtain an Intrusion Detection System at the Laboratory Complex, Building 35, and Glenmont Estate, located at Thomas Edison National Historical Park, West Orange, NJ by means of Firm Fixed Price Contract. The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation and supervision for the furnishing, installation, programing, testing and system demonstration as specified in the specification. The solicitation includes thirteen (13) Line Items. Line Items 01 through 07 are Base Bid Line Items for various buildings. The solicitation also includes Optional Line Items 08 through 13, for additional Buildings. The Government reserves the right to award any or no options at or after the time of award. Optional Line Items may be exercised by the Government at the time of award or within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after the date of award. The solicitation including all bid documents will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and ttps://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect on or about 23 April 2014. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation package you must download it from one of the above sites. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the SAM-System for Award Management (Formally Central Contractor Registration) in order to receive contract awards. This project is being solicited as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The Size Standard is $14 million dollars. The estimated cost range for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 and is subject to the Davis Bacon Act. There will be a site visit, and perspective proposers are encouraged to visit the site to satisfy themselves as to conditions and equipment before providing a bid.
