This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes only. The 325th Contracting Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, is seeking to gather information on the capabilities of companies within the industrial base to retrofit the current canvass top aircraft sunshades to metal roofing. The Government is seeking information on the most current and reliable Aircraft canopy sunshades. The existing sunshade has a fabric top and we need them re-engineered to have a metal roof. There are a total of 42 sunshades which were installed in 2004. The Government will be allowing a site visit to obtain further information on the existing sunshades and to assess the current condition of the sunshades. The site visit will be on 31 July 2017 at 10:00am. Contractors shall meet at the Tyndall AFB visitor's center no later than 9:00am and will be escorted to the Flightline side of the base. Furthermore, the Government is requesting answers to the questions below no later than 4 August 2017. Attendance to the site visit is NOT mandatory to respond to the Government's questions below. Any questions asked at the site visit will have answers posted to this RFI no later than 2 August 2017.

Government Questions Requiring Response from Industry:

1. Does your company have the ability to retrofit the current Aircraft sunshades from canvass top to metal roof without current engineered drawings or as-builts from when they were manufactured?

2. If your company can retrofit them does your company have the ability to provide complete engineer stamped drawings complete with structural analysis for the new metal roof system?

3. Can your company provide a metal roof system to sustain wind loads in accordance with UFC 3-301-01?

4. Is there a minimum amount of sunshade roofs that must be replaced at a time in order to maintain structural integrity?

5. Does your company have the ability to provide installation of lightning protection and third party certification?
