The Marine Forces Reserve (MFR) is issuing this RFI to ascertain if an equal product to the brand Muramatsu Flutes is currently available and being sold in the commercial marketplace.  Salient characteristics for the following brand name Muramatsu product(s) is as follows:

Muramatsu DS Heavy-wall, C# Trill, E-Mechanism with an offset-G (DHCE), Solid Sliver Head Joint, Solid Silver Body and Keys, D# Roller, Engraved D# Key, stamped MA on rib. 

INDUSTRY RESPONSES/SUBMISSIONS:

At a minimum, responses to this notice should include:

(1) Equal product to Muramatsu Flute and descriptive literature of the equal product.   Firms offering equal products shall submit sufficient descriptive literature to permit the contracting agency to assess whether the equal product meets all the salient characteristics specified in this document.   Firms offering "equal" items shall provide a detailed description of the product and product capabilities, product literature/brochures and not merely a reiteration of the salient characteristics provided herein. 

(2) A primary point of contact, including phone number and e-mail address;

(3) Vendor business size (the applicable NAICS code for the requirement and the size standard for small business).  Note: Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of small businesses in consideration of a small business set-aside if a solicitation is issued.

(4) Pricing, publicized price lists and where they can be found.

(5) Delivery lead-time.

In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers.
