The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Applied Biosystems, Inc., 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA, for multiple pathogen assay validation study utilizing format 24 TLDA with assays designed, synthesized, and formulated by the customer. Services required will be spotting up to 23 CDC-porovided assays on blank standard 384-well TaqMan Array cards (TLDA) at card locations specified by CDC, with one 18S or GAPDH calibration assay specified by CDC per port; one PIC that has been manufactured and furnished to CDC under a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) between CDC and the vendor; and delivering spotted cards to CDC under mutually agreed schedule. The vendor retains all rights in its intellectual property as provided in the MTA. CDC is the specification developer for these cards. These custom TLDA cards are for research use only, and are not to be used for the treatment, diagnosis, prognosis or other evaluation of patients.. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
