Packaging, Storage, and Containerization Center (PSCC) performs packaging testing for the Department of Defense (DoD), other government agencies, and occasionally for private industry. The PSCC testing facility is located at 11 Hap Arnold Boulevard, Building 2 Bay 5, Tobyhanna, PA 18466.

PSCC currently seeks to purchase a Mullen Burst Tester to determine bursting strength of corrugated and solid fiberboard and heavy weight textiles used to fabricate boxes used by DoD for packaging and shipping materiel.

The Mullen Burst Tester AH Model meets the requirements. The tester shall have the below important characteristics:

• Provides pressure readings up to 2000 PSI for testing corrugated, linerboard, and heavyweight textiles.
• Hydraulic-powered clamp capable of clamping corrugated fiberboard with moderation to prevent crushing the flutes.
• Compatibility with existing digital reader/recorder, Digiburst SN DB0105.
