Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Braselton, Georgia (OWNER), for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items necessary for the construction of the Mulberry River Stream Restoration Project in Braselton, Georgia. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. local time on October 14, 2021, at Town of Braselton Public Works Building, 4986 Highway 53, Braselton, Georgia 30517. Representatives of OWNER and ENGINEER will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the Conference in order to be eligible to submit a bid. ENGINEER will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as ENGINEER considers necessary in response to questions arising at the Conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. Only Contractors who have been prequalified specifically for this project with the Town of Braselton from the previous advertisement for prequalification are invited to bid. Bids from other than prequalified Contractors will not be accepted. Bids will be received at the Town of Braselton – Town Hall, P.O. Box 306, 4982 Highway 53, Braselton, Georgia 30517 until 10:00 a.m. on November 4, 2021. Any bid received after said time and date of bid opening will not be considered by OWNER. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time and location. The Project consists of, but is not limited to the following major elements: Stabilize the banks of the Mulberry River by creating a more stable pattern and profile. This will be accomplished by modifying the existing stream channel and constructing Bankful Benches, Toe Wood, Rock J Hooks and Low Flow Deflectors to reduce the shear stress on the banks of the River. Approximately 32,000 Cubic Yards of material will be removed and deposited on adjacent lands.
