A determination not to compete this proposed contract was made pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source. For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract deem only one source reasonably available.  MJ Sales is the sole source manufacturer of the MCOMIC S-G2 System "To Go Kit."  The FBI will purchase the MCOMIC S G2 Systems "To Go Kits."

The MCOMIC S G2 System "To Go Kit" equipment is compatible with MCOMIC S G2 Systems "To Go Kits" currently in FBI inventory and deployed throughout the field. There are no other providers capable of meeting the following requirements:

Compatible with existing FBI equipment MCOMIC S G2 Systems "To Go Kits" in inventory and deployed field wide which specifically permits both plug and play, and utilizing parts throughout the existing inventory. 

This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures; only one source is reasonably available. The government intends to use FAR Part 12 to purchase the above listed items.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this item is 517410-Satellite Communications. 

This notice of intent is not a formal solicitation or request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. No award will be made on the basis of quotations or offers received in response to this notice.
