Notice of Intent for award of a sole source purchase order for the relocation of the MRAP High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster consisting of 15 Cray XT5 cabinets and 1 LSI cabinet from the ARMY Research Laboratory (ARL) in Aberdeen, MD to Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Kirtland AFB, NM. Services include deinstallation, packaging, and shipping of HPC cluster from ARL to AFRL.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.

The 377 MSG/PZIB Kirtland AFB, NM intends to award a sole source contract to Cray, Inc. for the deinstallation, packaging, and shipping of HPC cluster from ARL to AFRL.

Cray, Inc. is the manufacturer of the HPC cluster and will maintain the warranty during the deinstallation, packaging, and shipping of HPC from ARL to AFRL. Using any other company will void the HPC cluster warranty.

Anticipated date of award is 27 June 2016.  The FSC code is V112, the NAICS code is 484121 and the size standard is $27.5M.
