The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR Part 6.302-1 to Heckler and Koch Defense Inc., 19980 Highland Vista Drive, Suite 190, Ashburn, VA 20147-4183 for 90, MP5A3 Weapon Systems and accessories. The procurement will be a firm-fixed priced purchase order with anticipated delivery approximately 180 days after award. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 28, 2015, 3:00 p.m. CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is warranted. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Heckler and Koch Defense Inc.
