The Fairbanks Command Data Acquisition Station (FCDAS) requires renewal of the software support and updates for MP2 barcode and Enterprise (versions 6.1, year 2012). The requirement is being issued for a 12-month base period and four additional 12-month option periods pursuant to FAR 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (MAR 2000). MP2 is a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in use at FCDAS for asset management, inventory control, maintenance scheduling, and reporting. MP2 is a critical software application requiring updates and uninterrupted technical support at FCDAS. INFOR is the developer and sole owner of the intellectual property packaged as MP2 software and related applications. The proprietary nature of the software, design, and source code necessarily restricts software patches, security updates, and technical support to INFOR.

Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Joel L. Perlroth, Contracting Officer no later than 1pm EST. All capability statements received by the closing date of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 12 commercial procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334614 - Software and Other Prerecorded Compact Disc, Tape, and Record Reproducing.
