The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), to Kansas State University. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire specialized services to provide reports interpreting the immune response against the main immunogenic An. albimanus salivary proteins in dried blood spots (up to 800 total collected at two time points: 6 months and 18 months post-intervention) in an effort to better understand if ITNs or IRS are more effective at preventing people from exposure to bites from malaria vector mosquitoes.

This notice of intent to solicit one source is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before 8:00 AM EST on May 24, 2021. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.
