This project is a Total Small Business set-aside.

The small business size standard is no greater than $36.5 million in average annual receipts. Only offers from firms that are certified to meet the size standard will be considered. The Contract shall be for all work associated with repair of multiple failures to the Forest Service 96 roadway out of Foresthill, California. During the 2017 winter, the 96 Road, known as Mosquito Ridge Road, experienced damage to the cut/fill bench in the form of three major failures at Mile Post 12.8, 13.9 and 17.7 along with numerous other minor erosion events. The Work Shall Commence around October 15 2017 and have a period of performance of approximately 180 Days.

Work shall include:
• mobilization and excavation of each site of failed material, pre-existing subbase and asphalt,
• installation of steel rail pile groups into competent material below the failure plane,
• replacement with suitable fill, compaction and installation of geogrid fabric in layers, soil anchors, or welded wire mesh to stabilize fill
• Placement of Sub-base and drainage features
• Placement of asphalt, striping, guardrails and signage
• Work shall include all traffic control, storm water compliance and coordination with the USFS

The Government's estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000

The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately August 2, 2017. The date of award is expected to be within 60 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and may possibly be changed in one or more amendments.
