MARKET SURVEY

The Government is issuing this Market Survey to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Market Survey.

Requirement:
The Nashville District U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract to accomplish the following work at Wheeler Lock in Lauderdale County, Alabama and Pickwick Lock in Hardin County, Tennessee.

General Requirements:
This description represents the minimum work necessary to construct three mooring cells and the demolition of one mooring cell. Contractor shall provide labor and all necessary materials to construct three mooring cells and perform the demolition of one mooring cell at the location specified by the government.

Material
Sheet piles will be furnished and stored by the Government. The contractor will be responsible for picking up and transporting all sheet piles specified without damage. A crane may be necessary to move sheet piles closer to or onto the floating barge. No spreader bar will be provided and will be the responsibility of the contractor.

Demolition
One mooring cell located at Pickwick Lock will be replaced. Demolition and removal will be required for the current cell in order to install the newly constructed cell in the same footprint.

Options:
This procurement may include a base and one option.

The anticipated NAICS code is 238120, Structural Steel and Precast Concrete Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15 million.
