The U.S. Maritime Administration, South Atlantic Region Contracts Office, has a requirement for twenty (20) cylindrical buoys with large 14” plates constructed of single skin polyethylene and filled with polystyrene (Styrofoam) and able to withstand all types of weather. Buoys are to be 48” diameter and 62” height with a weight of 180-190 pounds, and buoyancy weight of 2400-2500 pounds. A commercial equivalency would be Saeplast Model ACB1100. Contractor shall provide delivery of buoys to James River Reserve Fleet – Fleet Operations Group, Fort Eustis Army Base, Newport News, VA 23604. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
