The work to be performed consists, in general, of new HMA pavement; a prefabricated reinforced concrete arched bridge over the Calloway Canal; 16-inch domestic water pipeline; and a traffic signal modification in Caltrans right of way. During the bidding of this project, contractors who have questions or desire clarifications about the bid documents, must submit those questions or requests for clarifications in writing using the form provided in the bid documents. Said questions and requests for clarifications must be submitted by the date identified in the project schedule in Section 4 of these Special Provisions. The City of Bakersfield has previously issued a list of approved bidders for this project. This list was determined by the City’s review of the Responsibility Statements and Questionnaires submitted by interested contractors. The City will only open bids submitted by contractors who were approved by the City to be on the Final Bidders List for this project. Bids submitted by contractors who are not approved to be on the Final Bidders List will not be opened. The following contractors have been approved to be on the Final Bidders List for this project: Bowman Asphalt, Inc., Bakersfield C.A.
