The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a non-competitive basis with Boonton Electronics, Parsippany, NJ. Boonton Electronics calibration equipment will be procured to support the NAVAIR METCAL program at calibration labs, both land-based and shipboard. The items being procured are: Thirty (30), model 8201/S3 Modulation Analyzer W/250 KHz filters. These units support the verification, alignment and calibration of the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS), including the E-CASS and RT-CASS test benches and Test Program Sets (TPS). Boonton Electronics, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the item being procured. The modulation analyzer is a Navy Calibration Standard required by NAVAIR MET Instrument Calibration Procedures and Laboratory Calibration Procedures.
The Government intends to procure the above item under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not to request for competitive proposals: however the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
