The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a contract modification to Honeywell International, Albuquerque, NM, for the procurement and storage of the following parts: Micron, LCD Lighting, Xilinx, Genesis, Atera, and Spansion. Honeywell is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the AMPD & AMPCD, and as such, is the only source capable of procuring, managing, and storing these parts to protect production and life cycle support of the AMPD & AMPCD. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under statutory authority 10 U.S.C 2304 ( c )(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6-302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by Honeywell International under Contract N00019-10-C-0061, which was awarded using other than full and open competition.
