The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a contract modification to Harris Corporation, Melbourne, FL, for the procurement and storage of the following parts: Xilinx, E2V, and IDT. Harris is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the FCNS, and as such, is the only source capable of procuring, managing, and storing these parts to protect production and life cycle support of the FCNS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under statutory authority 10 U.S.C 2304 ( c )(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6-302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by Harris Corporation under contract N00019-11-C-0067, which was awarded using other than full and open competition.
