Sealed Bids: The Talbot County Board of Commissioners is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified vendors for the Mitchell Road Patching Project. Bids should be mailed to the attention of the County Manager, Carol Ison, to Post Office Box 155, Talbotton, Georgia 31827, or brought to the Talbot County Board of Commissioners Office, located at 74 West Monroe Street, Talbotton, Georgia 31827. The deadline for submitting bids is 12 PM (NOON), Friday, August 27, 2021. The bids will be opened at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 13, 2021, at the Talbot County Board of Commissioners Office. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after bid opening date. Project Description: The proposed construction consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to complete the patching of Mitchell Road. Work includes patching. All work will be in accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation standard specifications and supplemental specifications (latest edition), and Talbot County. Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents: Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for review at the County Managers office during regular business hours. Bonds: All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Base Bid. Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. The Talbot County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or technicalities or to re-advertise as appropriate.
