The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Mission Rabies USA, Inc., 717 Henderson Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94086-8202. The purpose of this acquisition is to get data collections from Mission Rabies USA, Inc.:


In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541940 - Veterinary Services.

The purpose of this project is to develop data collection tool that will not only allow for better management of rabies control programs but also provide accurate and timely canine rabies surveillance and vaccination data through a mobile phone application. This will include updating the current data collection tools, assistance with preparing training materials, conducting in country training workshops, and overseeing field implementation and data collection.


This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements for the SARE may submit their capability/qualifications and other supporting information to Priscilla Turner at [email protected] on or before July 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. All information received on or before Friday, July 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time of this notice will be considered by the Government to determine if the more than one firm can meet the Government's requirements and is capable of providing technically acceptable services. A determination not to compete the described requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
