This Request for Information (RFI) is issued in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.215-3 (Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes - Oct 1997) and is published to obtain information for use by the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC/HNC), Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas, for market research and planning purposes only.
1. This RFI is NOT a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or an announcement of a solicitation; it is only intended for information or planning purposes. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. Response to this RFI is strictly voluntary and will not affect any potential offeror's ability to submit an offer if a solicitation is released. Any requests for a solicitation package will be disregarded. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will arise as a result of preparing submissions in response to this RFI and the government's use of such information. Submittals will not be returned to the sender. Respondents to this RFI may be requested to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals.
2. AFLCMC/HNC is contemplating awarding a contract to Mission Oriented Mapping. These capabilities are necessary for sustainment of existing tools and to identify network and system/application to mission relationships. The Mission Oriented Mapping capability must be able to discern relationships between missions at many different levels, from the application layer through the physical layer.
3. AFLCMC/HNC is seeking industry input to identify potential solutions and to provide comments on draft requirement documentation. 4. Please provide answers to the following questions which will help us in determining our acquisition strategy:
a. Propose commercial or non-developmental items that meet the Government's draft requirement documentation.
b. Inform the Government if the stated requirement is on a pre-priced contract (GSA, NETCENTS or ESI, etc.).
c. Provide a high level ROM for this effort, to include developmental/operational testing, as well as certification and accreditation. Type 1 training (train the trainer), Hardware and software updates.
d. Inform the Government the business size standard particular to NAICS 541511-Custom Computer Programming Service.
e. Seeking feedback on the draft requirement documentation.
