The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Science Lab (NVSL), Ames, Iowa, is seeking interested parties with the intention of negotiating a contract for the following supplies: Illumina Sequencing Reagents for MiSeq Sequencer and Nextera XT DNA Sample Preparation Kit, and Nextera XT Index Kits, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1).

The MiSeq brand equipment is utilized by the NVSL for genome sequencing. No other brand reagent is available for use with the MiSeq brand equipment. Based on the responses to this notice the Government will decide to compete full and open or set-aside the requirement for small businesses. Interested parties should submit via email to Joanne Mann: Evidence of being able to provide the above MiSeq supplies along with current price list.

This announcement does not commit the Government to award of a contract. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within 30 days of publication of this notice.
