The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Illumina, Inc., 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA 92122 for Illumina MiSeq FGx upgrade, Illumina MiSeq FGx Instrument and Illumina consumables.
The FBI is evaluating Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies to support the FBI Laboratory's DNA program activities by advancing the technologies applied to DNA casework and expanding the FBI's DNA typing capabilities. The FBI will require the MiSeq FGx upgrade in order to validate it for forensic casework. The FBI will also need an additional instrument in order to continue to develop the MiSeq FGx for casework use.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 08:00 am, EST, March 30, 2015, by email to the attention of Jerry Varnell, Contract Specialist, at [email protected].
