PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
The United States Air Force (USAF) is considering implementation of a time change program for the items listed below. This Source Sought Synopsis announcement is for market research & information only, and to be used for planning purposes and budget development. This market research is being conducted to identify potential sources possessing the engineering and manufacturing knowledge for the Shroud Rocket Motor, Shroud Rocket Motor Initiator, Thruster Bolt Impulse Cartridge, Ball Lock Impulse Cartridge, MK12/12A Spin Gas Generator, MK12/12A Spin Gas Generator Initiator, MK21 Spin Gas Generator Delay Initiator, MK21 Spin Gas Generator used on the Minuteman III ICBM. No proposal is requested or accepted from this synopsis. This is not a solicitation for proposal and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA, Hill AFB is conducting a market survey for the following requirements;

No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The Government has the technical data to provide to potential offerors. Interested offerors shall respond to this Source Sought Synopsis no later than 3:00 PM 15 June 2011.
Upon review of the technical data, interested offerors are requested to provide a Rough Order Of Magnitude of cost and qualification schedule no later than 3:00 PM July 30, 2011.
Qualification of new configurations resulting from obsolescence issues must meet the most current Department of Defense qualification requirements for CAD/PAD components.
